- The NM Skive Sørumsand 2024 is over, and what a NM it was for us.
We had the largest squad for the Norwegian National Championships, with nearly 300 people starting. 31 people, 23 of whom were shooters and the rest were team leaders and parents. In addition, we had Bjørn-Cato who was in the secretariat and managed the technical aspects. It was a Norwegian National Championships with a lot of shooting in rain, wind and sun from a clear sky.
On Saturday evening we had a barbecue at the court and gathered for games and fun in a relaxing atmosphere to recharge for Sunday's finals.
- Friday was the opening rounds in proper western weather with all the taps open. It was a wet start, but our shooters were in good shape for Saturday's final rounds and team shooting. Saturday was sunny but windy and difficult conditions had to be mastered.
- It was time for both team shooting and final shooting. We entered 2 teams in traditional where Fana1 won over Grenland and went all the way to the top and took home the gold. Fana2 was eliminated in the quarterfinals against a stronger team from Lillehammer. The barebow team (under 16) U16 also took gold. After the 1/8, quarter and semifinals on Saturday, we had 8 shooters for the gold final and 5 for the bronze finals on Sunday.
- Victor in traditional men's 50 and Rune in barebow U16 came in 4th after a nerve-wracking shoot-off for both.
- Stine competed in the women's longbow and was going into the alternating finals on Sunday for the first time. - The further distribution was as follows:
- There were a total of 8 gold medals.
In the team for Barebow U16, by Amalie, Odin and Rune, In the traditional team by Victor, Etti and Magnar. To Eli in compound women 50, Hamed in recurve u 21, Kjerstin in trad women 50, Christoffer in Trad men u16, Sofie in Trad women U 16, and Odin in Barebow u16.
- 2 silver
To Magnar in Trad men's 50 and Stine in longbow women's who shot alternating gold finals.
- 3 bronze
to Marny in Trad ladies 50, Ketil in Recurve U21, and Benedicte in Trad ladies. - Not only that, we also became the best club out of 40 clubs with our 86 points ahead of number 2, which was the host club Sørumsand with its 59 points.
- Best National Championship ever for us.
